Aptella Partners with Sphere Drones to Advance Autonomous Scanning and Mapping
Aptella has announced a new partnership with Sphere Drones, an Australian UAV and technology provider, to distribute the HubX mobile payload platform. Designed for autonomous scanning and mapping, HubX is ideal for remote and challenging locations, supporting sectors including resources, mining, construction, and emergency services.
The HubX platform features a self-sustaining mobile design with solar power and 5G/satellite connectivity. It includes a large configurable payload bay that accommodates various enterprise and third-party payloads, enhancing remote data collection capabilities. When paired with DJI’s Dock 2, HubX allows for rapid deployment, enabling operations to commence within 30 minutes of setup.
“Adding HubX to our drone technology offering gives customers ultimate choice when selecting the best fit for their application and business needs,” said Gavin Docherty, Aptella’s Market Development Manager for drones.
“Our team is focussed on sourcing and deploying best-in-breed innovation from around the world for our customers,” says Martin Nix, Aptella CEO. “It is an honour to partner with an Australian-based development team and collaborate with Sphere Drones to bring this unique, full-service HubX solution to our customers.”
Sphere Drones CEO Paris Cockinos expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Aptella’s expertise and geographic reach. The collaboration aims to expand HubX’s presence in key verticals and support global market growth.
