The new SparkFun Electronics RTK Torch, a portable GNSS device boasts millimeter-grade measurements, making it ideal for meticulous mapping and surveying projects.

Effortless Data Acquisition:

Connecting your phone to the RTK Torch via Bluetooth is all it takes. You’ll receive real-time NMEA output compatible with most GIS software, streamlining your workflow.

Zero-Touch RTK Technology:

Forget complicated setups! The RTK Torch automatically connects to WiFi networks, seamlessly acquiring corrections from u-blox PointPerfect in covered areas (US, Europe, parts of Australia, Canada, Brazil, and Korea).

Flexible Correction Options:

Enjoy a free one-month trial of PointPerfect corrections. Want more? Upgrade to a paid plan for ongoing use. If PointPerfect isn’t available, the RTK Torch can receive corrections from local base stations via NTRIP over Bluetooth or WiFi.

Built for the Field:

The IP67-rated enclosure ensures the RTK Torch withstands the elements. It’s waterproof for up to 30 minutes at 1 meter depth, making it perfect for outdoor applications.

Unveiling the Power Within:

The SparkFun RTK Torch packs a punch with an ESP32 microcontroller, a high-precision UM980 L1/L2/L5 GNSS receiver from Unicore, and an IM-19 for tilt compensation. The L5 reception makes it shine in dense canopied areas where traditional L1/L2 signals struggle.

The RTK Torch caters to a wide range of applications, including:

  • GNSS Positioning (400mm accuracy): Ideal for basic mapping tasks.
  • GNSS Positioning with RTK (8mm accuracy): Achieve centimeter-level precision with a local base station.
  • GNSS Positioning with PPP-RTK (14-60mm accuracy): Leverage PointPerfect corrections for sub-centimeter accuracy.
